Heavenly (2024)
“Between dawn and night there is an abyss, don't expect another Heaven, nor another Hell.” — The instant by Jorge Luis Borges
Heavenly has created a futuristic world where digital immortality has become a popular business. People, pressured by society, see the limitless capabilities offered by digital immortality as salvation and eagerly rush to sign contracts with digital immortality companies to upload their consciousness, unaware of the terrifying truth awaiting them.
As an explorer, the player accidentally enters the forbidden zone of the digital Immortality world. Faced with an unfamiliar environment, twisted monsters and strange rituals, the player needs to explore the hidden secrets of digital immortality while finding a way out.
Heavenly combines 3D narrative film and interactive experience, built upon the concept of out-of-body cyborgs in a futuristic setting, visualizes traditional issues within Chinese society and their impact on an individual's life, creating an endless world.
The Lost Island (2023)
In this project, I made a landmark for a future city garden. This city landmark was born in an exploration of space by future humans. In the future, humans have discovered a new planet that can rely on providing mixed gas to maintain human survival. The Earth Migration organisation immediately send a group of volunteers to live on this planet and test the survival rate. The space capsule was the first home on this planet for the volunteers. They brought Earth civilization to this planet, human ideas, Roman architecture, and the warrior's sword symbolising human beliefs placed in the centre of the space capsule. They started their conquest of this planet from this small area and built two creatures named X to filter the mixed gas in the air into oxygen to maintain their life. The human volunteer named this capsule “Heavenly,” the warmest place in their hearts.
But the peaceful life did not last for a long time. In a cosmic disaster, the planet was completely covered by water, the broken cabin and volunteers were hit by the water falling from the sky to every corner of the universe, like stars, twinkling and disappearing. Who can prove that they once existed? Probably only the broken "heavenly."
